Sydney, November 3 – Lucky Owners was represented by a winner at Randwick on Cup Day when four year-old entire Che Cosa saluted in the restricted event over 1600 metres.
The Clarry Conners trained Che Cosa backed up from winning a maiden at Newcastle on October 17 to win in town, settling back in the field and powering home to score by half a length over Swarm, a half-brother to champion miler Racing to Win.
A $29,000 purchase from the Widden draft at the 2007 Magic Millions Yearling Sale during Session Five, Che Cosa has won two races and placed three times from just eight starts.
Che Cosa is the first foal of the Marscay mare Mariana, a daughter of Group One VATC One Thousand Guineas winner Azzurro. |
