Brisbane, November 18 – The Bryan Guy trained four year-old gelding Lucky Omens maintained his good recent form when scoring a stylish win at Doomben on Wednesday.
The son of Lucky Owners settled towards the rear of the field of seven and then powered home to win the 1350 metre Class Four event by the best part of a length, his overall record now three wins and three placings from 11 starts.
Offered by Trelawney Stud at the NZB Select Yearling Sale, Lucky Omens was knocked down to Keiran Moore Bloodstock for $170,000, making him the second highest priced lot of that sale.
He is the first foal of O’Reilly mare Bright Beauty, a half-sister to Group Two winner, and Group One placed Cheiron, his family tracing back to the fabulous producer Toltrice. |
