AMEDEO OPENS ACCOUNT

Hong Kong, March 6 – The Class Four event at Sha Tin on Saturday was won in fine style by three year-old gelding Amedeo, a $100,000 purchase from the Widden draft at the 2008 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Placed at his first two starts, the Tony Millard trained Amedeo showed the benefit of race experience jumping swiftly and leading throughout to win the 1200 metre sprint by more than two lengths.

Amedeo was bred by Gooree Stud and is by Elusive Quality (USA) from Trouble Woman (USA), a half-sister by Dayjur to Group One Kentucky Derby winner Winning Colors.
