Adelaide, March 9 – A filly by Golden Slipper winner Stratum topped the opening session of the 2010 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Tuesday when she fetched $150,000.
Consigned for sale by Baramul Stud, the filly was knocked down to leading local trainer Lloyd Kennewel and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Fearless Gun being from the Barathea (IRE) mare Show No Restraint.
"She was the best horse in the sale," Kennewell said. "And she's got a good pedigree."
"I thought she was the sale topper and knew she would be popular," he added.
"She's a good mover. I thought she was a super athlete - she has plenty going for her."
The filly comes from a great Black Type family, her dam Show No Restraint a half-sister to stakes-winner Slanchyvah and to the dam of $1.9 million earner Grey Song. |
