Many of Snippetson’s physical characteristics are derived from Snippets who left an indelible mark on Australian breeding.A home grown product, Snippets was a sprinter without peer, the speed and toughness he displayed is a common trait of his progeny and a key ingredient to why he enjoyed such great success. This characteristic is in turn a feature of Snippetson’s grandsire Lunchtime and is evident in Canny Lad and Choisir , both from daughters of Lunchtime.

Snippets has enjoyed success with a host of sirelines, none moreso than STAR KINGDOM. STAR KINGDOM works well with Northern Dancer and Silly Season (grandsire of Snippets) who is from Star Kingdom’s family.Mares carrying such influences as Bletchingly , Marscay and Todman are appealing.

Snippetson, through Lunchtime represents a powerful outcross to Danzig . Mares by Danehill and his sons would be ideally suited and would reinforce multiple strains of the highly influential Natalma .

With strains of Northern Dancer and Buckpasser, Snippetson will welcome MR. PROSPECTOR line mares by such sires as Woodman , Unbridled ’ s Song , Rhythm , Bellotto , Geiger Counter , El Moxie , Thunder Gulch , Secret Savings , Straight Strike and Umatilla .

Snippetson is bred on reinforcement of the LA CHICA family via Misty Day , Native Dancer (twice) and Misty Morn . Secret Savings , Successor , Bold Lad , Gray Phantom and What A Pleasure are other family members which will boost this pattern.

The HALO line is also desirable for Snippetson. Snippets’ damsire Grand Chaudiere is from the SUNSHOT family. Bold Reason, Solferino and Never Bend are other family members to seek. Mares by or sons of Sadler ’ s Wells , Fairy King , Tate Gallery , Scenic , Brief Truce , Spectrum , Don ’ t Say Halo and Hula Chief are some which supply these influences.
