Star Witness Juvenile Salutes

The first juvenile fillies race of the season in Brisbane was run at Doomben on Saturday with victory going to talented Star Witness filly Rare Occurrence, a modest $30,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer Stuart Kendrick from the draft of Widden Stud.

She did best in a thrilling finish to snatch a head win in the 1050 metre scamper earning valuable prizemoney towards securing a tilt at the rich Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January.

Rare Occurrence is the first winner for Sister Phenomenon, a half-sister by Rock of Gibraltar (IRE) to stakes-winners Spacecraft and Sister Phenomenon.
