Stratum Winner at Sha Tin

The Sha Tin meeting in Hong Kong on Sunday featured a winner for top class sire Stratum with the John Moore trained Smart Man saluting over 1200 metres.

The four year-old did best in a tight finish to win the Class Two event by a neck, his fourth win from 37 starts with 11 placings.

A $240,000 Magic Millions purchase for Scone Bloodstock from the draft of Widden Stud, Smart Man is one of two winners from Spinning World (USA) mare Eckland.

Smart Man is one of five HK winners this season for Stratum.
